Shiva,
Yeah that's true. Not many in Paris is going to be bothered about the words being messed up :) Anyway, Mandolin Srinivas' playing is mindblowing in that as usual

Aparna,

Thank you for welcoming me in :). You're right, I guess that's one of his bad habits from playback singing which he shouldn't be doing here. And when you're performing with a fusion band in Paris, I'm sure there's a temptation to be careless. It's not exactly Krishna Gana Sabha, you know :-)

Shiva,
Welcome to my blog! I have watched Shakti's Girirajasuta and I do like it. The one thing that I don't like in this one is Shankar Mahadevan messing up the words (splitting them as he wishes so as to fit it to the tune).

Ranjhith,
:)
Maybe I should start categorizing these posts under a new category 'Aparna in Wonderland' ;)

Thanks a lot for the link, Aparna. Listened to it. Imaginative Swarams. But in the Anupallavi, I guess it sounded a bit different as I am used to hearing it being sung/played on the violin or veena where the Gamakas for the first line of the Anupallavi are slightly heavier. But, a nice rendition.
