From the afternoon, I have been repeatedly listening to the remixed instrumental versions of Thee Thee and Jiya Jale, remixed by the bands of Ooh La La La! In the last episode of Ooh La La La, which I, as usual, watched only on the net much later, the band Track 1 had played Thee Thee and the band Oxygen had played Nenjinile/Jiya Jale. The violin in Thee Thee got me hooked to it immediately! :) Though I was not able to find any fault at all when I listened to it first, after hearing H.Sridhar’s comments, I realized the things that they should have improved upon. But, anyway, the violin is so good that it’s hard to divert your attention to other things at all!

Whoever in Oxygen got the idea to start off with Vanessa Mae’s Raaga’s Dance (One of the not-so-well-known compostions of A R Rahman) and move on to Nenjinile and come back to Raaga’s Dance must be commended. It sounds so good! The flute and violin (what’s that red-coloured instrument used in this song?) make the song sound so rich. Each and every moment of it is absolutely enjoyable! I don’t really know whether I can pin-point any instrumentalist and say that he was the best. All of them co-ordinate together and at the end of it you get to hear a wonderful instrumental version of one of the best compositions of Rahman! I am not able to stop listening to this one at all!

Thanks to my getting addicted to these two band’s instrumental versions, I finally remembered to watch today’s episode of Ooh La La La on TV. None of the performances except instrumental version of Thee Thee again, by the band Agam, impressed me in today’s episode. And what a performance this one was! Thee Thee sounds so beautiful on violin! :) Am now again listening to Agam’s Thee Thee on the website of Ooh La La La! Agam’s and Track 1’s Thee Thee cannot be compared since both seem to have made the song sound so wonderful in their own way. :)

For the first time, instead of bands struggling to do justice to Rahman’s compositions, these bands played Rahman’s songs in such a way that they seem to have added more beauty to the already beautiful compositions of Rahman! :) In case you missed watching these episodes, check them out now.
