Slumdog Millionaire

Am now listening to the tracks of Slumdog Millionaire and with each listening, I seem to like each of the songs more and more. As much as I enjoyed reading/watching so many shows/articles/blog posts/interviews, etc. on A.R.Rahman post Oscars, I also got tired of hearing every other person saying that Slumdog Millionaire is not his best. I just wish everyone just enjoys the songs instead of repeatedly saying that it’s not his best. 😐 Though I haven’t listened to Jai Ho as much as Latika’s Theme or Mausam and Escape, that song has still really become one of my favourites.

I would agree that A.R. Rehman has given much better music in movies other than Slumdog Millionaire.

The good thing about AR music is that when you listen it to first time, you might not like it but as you keep listening to it you soon find yourself liking it.

Slumdog’s music is not that great compared to Ghajaini or Joda Akbar.

Dreams on Fire is what keeps me haunting… I also defend those who says that this is not ARR’s best, it is one of the foremost of his best is what i feel.

By people what they say is not best is by just hearing the clippings played in news channels or others. i am damn sure that they must not have heard the entire movie background score or all the songs…

all songs are best and one stand out of each other, and nobody remembers the fact that it is a musical score for a movie and not for an album where ARR has the full freedom, he is and must be coupled with movie’s theme, and as ARR said “Jai Ho” is the best in the situation.

So who knows someday you might soon say that SDM is one of his best 😉

    Anantha,
Exactly! Many of them wouldn’t have listened to the songs properly at all!
