What should I name this post?

  • Was feeling so bored sometime back. Genda Phool, Dil Gira Dafatan, Hey Kaala Bandar, Latika’s Theme, Dreams on Fire, Sandeep’s Palaya Sada and Sanjay’s Ee Vasudha (Sanjay’s Sahana! Bliss!) later, I see no signs of boredom. 🙂
  • There were a lot of things that I wanted to do during the long weekend. But now, the 3 days seems to have passed by in a jiffy without me doing most of the things I planned to do. 🙁
  • A 2-hr long program on radio where so many celebrities spoke about ARR, 2 ARR’s interviews in the morning and one more in the evening, Special episode of Super Singer – a treat for Rahmaniacs! 🙂
  • There’s a concert of T.M.Krishna today evening 🙂 What will be the main? Todi? 😉 I will mostly not stay for the full concert since I want to watch ARR’s interview!
  • I want to write posts on Chithra Madhavan’s Talk on ‘Kanchipuram – Art, History & Architecture’, Mylapore Festival and Sonu Niigam’s and Benny Dayal’s concerts at Saarang. When there is so much to write about, why am I not writing?
  • Nothing other than the clichéd random thoughts comes to my mind when I think of a title for this post!

I know that there are only a few of you who read my posts on Carnatic music. Considering the fact that it is one of the posts that I really enjoyed writing in the recent times, I would like to know how many of you read ‘Carnatic Music & Me’ series of posts. Just curious!

1,00,000 hits! Yay!

The past few days have been quite busy ones and it was only today that I checked my blog stats after quite a few days and guess what the blog hits was? 1,00,681! Thank you my dear readers! 🙂 Btw, my old blog hits is also slowly but steadily, marching towards 1,00,000 (It’s now 91,256). After all, that blog is the one that gets displayed right on the first page when you do a Google search for ‘Alaipayuthey’. 😀 I saw that only today and I can’t tell you how happy I am. 🙂 I don’t really know whether I am more happy about the one lakh hits or about this. 😉

Blogger’s Block

I am hating it! 3 long months and still the block just doesn’t seem to go away! This is the reason for the long gaps between posts during the last 3 months. I write 2-3 posts continuously and after that this block seems to come all of a sudden out of nowhere! There are so many half-written posts in my drafts that I have not been able to complete! I really hope that this block goes away soon! Incidentally, I realized while intro/retrospecting, about which I had mentioned in my previous post, that this was also one of the reasons for my boredom!

Reading blogs non-stop!

The past couple of weeks, I have been so busy that I didn’t get time to either write blog posts or read blogs even though I did read a few posts once in a while (& saw the number of unread posts increasing with each passing day). When I logged into Google Reader today, I saw that the number of unread posts were 588 and some of those posts were written more than a month ago! Out of this, some 40 would have been comments. Apart from those, I would have marked only some 15 posts as read without really reading those. Guess what the number of unread posts is now? Just 100! Yay! I will hopefully read the remaining those tomorrow and resume blogging soon. Unlike earlier, I am now missing regular blogging. I hope I am able to find good topics to blog about.

I came across this tag in SK’s blog. For a change, a tag that had questions that interested me. Here goes the tag.

Q1. Are you happy/satisfied with your blog, with its content and look?
Yes about the look part of it. I like the theme of my blog so much that I don’t have the heart to part with it and give my blog a new look. 😛 As for the content, well, I wish I had more time so that I can write much better and write more.

Q2. Does your family know about your blog?
Yes.

Q3. Do you feel embarrassed to let your friends know about your blog or you just consider it as a private thing?
Nope. My blog has only the things that I discuss with friends. Besides, all my close friends already know about my passion for Carnatic, Rahman’s music and Mani Ratnam’s movies, which are the primary contents of my blog. But still, I wouldn’t tell everyone about my blog.
