Kabhi Kabhi

Kabhi Kabhi to lage zindagi mein rahi na khushi aur na mazaa
Kabhi Kabhi to lage har din mushkil aur har pal ek sazaa
Aise mein koi kaise muskuraye kaise has de khush hoke
Aur kaise koi sochde Everything’s gonna be OK

When you feel like this, listening to this song helps for sure….

Spirit of Unity Concert

I was watching some video of the youngest fan of ARR in youtube (Thanks to Siva for sharing it 🙂 ) when I saw this (click on the link to listen) high quality recording of the Spirit of Unity concert theme (All my old readers might remember that I had posted the not-so-good quality recordings of the Spirit of Unity concert theme last year). I have been listening to it for the past 30 min & I still can’t stop listening to it! I was down with headache since the morning today and guess what? It’s has now disappeared. That’s the magic of Rahman’s music! 😀

Good Morning!

Hey All! Good Morning!

Having had to read quite a few times about me being bored, I guess it would be a good change for you to read that it has been more than a week since my boredom went away! So how did I beat the boredom? All I did was a little introspection/retrospection/whatever and before I knew it, I was out of boredom! Rather, boredom was out of me. 😛

Monday Sans Blues

Yes! Today was a Monday when I didn’t have the Monday morning blues at all! Thanks to A.R.Rahman & Reetigowlai! 🙂 Started the day listening to ‘Sakkarakatti’ songs! Liked all the songs the first time itself! More on the songs later. The other song that I have been listening to the whole of today is the song that seems to everyone’s current favourite – ‘kaNgaL iraNDAl’ from ‘Subramaniapuram’. This is one of the most beautiful Reetigowlais ! 🙂 Can’t stop humming the song! 🙂

Jashn-E-Bahaaraa

When the caller tune is Jashn-E-Bahaaraa, who will complain when a friend doesn’t answer the call? 😉 I didn’t even have the heart to cut the call even though she didn’t answer. 😛 And guess what I am doing now? Listening to the instrumental version of Jashn-E-Bahaaraa on repeat mode! 😀 What a beautiful song! Rahman rocks!

Ada – The Songs

This is one movie where I liked all the songs the first time I listened to them itself. 🙂 And the more I listen to each song, the more I like it! But, as I started listening to the songs of ‘Ada’, one thing that struck me was almost all the songs had an already-heard-before feel to it. This is just an observation and not a complaint. 😉

ARR’s songs in 2007

I was thinking about all the songs of ARR that released last year and ended up categorizing them as per my level of liking it. Sivaji and Azhagiya Tamizh Magan were the two albums of Rahman that released last year. Elizabeth – The Golden Age & the Marhaba song in Al Risalah released too but I have listened to Marhaba only a couple of times and I have not yet listened to songs of The Golden Age. So I am excluding those two here.

Songs that I love – the ones I consider to be The Best:

  • Vaaji vaaji
  • Oru koodai sunlight

Other favourites:

  • Sahana/Sahara
  • VaLayapaTTi
  • Maduraikku

Song that alternates between ‘The Best’ and ‘Other favourite’ categories:

  • athiradee

Song that needs more listening:

  • nee Marilyn Monroe – I did like it very much when I heard it live in ARR’s concert. Still I have to listen to it some more before I can decide the category in which I will put it into 😉

Songs that I don’t listen to anymore:

  • Balleilakka
  • kaeLaamal
  • ella pugazhum
  • The Boss

What is your choice of songs for each of these categories?

Changing Notes Concert Promo

The promo (click on the link to watch) of A.R.Rahman’s Changing Notes Concert is superb! I watched it only yesterday evening and since then, I have been watching it again and again! I had got the passes for the concert on Monday itself but I am yet to decide whether I will go or not.

Btw, for those who haven’t listened to ARR’s song for the Hyderabad airport yet, here’s the link.
