Watched it yesterday. Didn’t expect it to be my kind of movie and that was exactly how it was. kaNgaL iraNDaal/Reetigowlai as BGM for some of the scenes was nice. 🙂

Sangeetha swarangaL from the movie ‘Azhagan’- This song sung so beautifully by SPB and Sandhya (came to know her name from Google search only. What other songs has she sung?) is one of my all-time favourites! More than remembering since when I started loving this song as much as I do now, the one thing that I will always remember about this song is watching this song on TV when I was a kid and wondering what on earth will two people have to talk about all night! 😛 Besides, I used to like the Doordarshan music and I used to watch this song just for listening to it!

As I saw cotton candy-like clouds adorning the evening sky, making it a treat for the eyes, I got reminded of one of my favourite songs, megamae megamae from the movie, Vaanam Vasappadum and the entire bus journey (Oh yeah. This is yet another post on what I did while travelling by bus 😛 ) had me humming this song to myself. I remembered that it had been really long since I last watched/listened to the song and here I am now, happily listening to it for the past one hour. 😀 I love all the songs in Vaanam Vasappadum. This is one of the few non-ARR albums that I have bought. I like the picturization of the songs too. I am now going to listen to other songs from this movie. 🙂 Meanwhile, you enjoy watching this song here. (Couldn’t find a better quality video)

I am hating it! 3 long months and still the block just doesn’t seem to go away! This is the reason for the long gaps between posts during the last 3 months. I write 2-3 posts continuously and after that this block seems to come all of a sudden out of nowhere! There are so many half-written posts in my drafts that I have not been able to complete! I really hope that this block goes away soon! Incidentally, I realized while intro/retrospecting, about which I had mentioned in my previous post, that this was also one of the reasons for my boredom!

Yes! Today was a Monday when I didn’t have the Monday morning blues at all! Thanks to A.R.Rahman & Reetigowlai! 🙂 Started the day listening to ‘Sakkarakatti’ songs! Liked all the songs the first time itself! More on the songs later. The other song that I have been listening to the whole of today is the song that seems to everyone’s current favourite – ‘kaNgaL iraNDAl’ from ‘Subramaniapuram’. This is one of the most beautiful Reetigowlais ! 🙂 Can’t stop humming the song! 🙂

Last week, while I was showing the sunrise photos to my cousin and was telling her how beautiful it was to see the sun rise and cast its first rays on the sea, I was bitten by the desire to see the sunrise at Marina beach again. Seeing the photos, she too got tempted and she wanted to see it the very next day! We checked the newspaper and saw that the sun would rise at around 5:50 am. Lazy me was dragged out of the bed by her at 5:30 am the next day and we reached the beach at 5:50 am sharp – just in time to see the sunrise! Needless to say, it was beautiful! 🙂

Last week, my cousin had her engineering admission counselling and I went with her. Though I don’t remember much about my counselling (Thinking about the fact that it happened six long years back makes me feel old. 😛 ), all I can tell you is it was well-organized. This year too, it was very well-organized. In fact, I would say that in the recent times, I don’t remember seeing anything that was as well-organized as this.
