T.M.Krishna’s Concert

I went to a concert of T.M.Krishna yesterday, after a long time. Do I even have to say how it was? ;) This being the only concert of his this month in Madras, it’s going to be a long wait before another TMK’s concert! Sigh!

Caught in the jam

After having suffered caught in the traffic jam on Old Mahabalipuram yesterday afternoon, I thought about what could have been done by all the IT companies and the colleges on the road to avoid the jam.
Considering the fact that there was a traffic jam till only before Tidel Park, the reason for the jam was obviously, all the companies’ buses starting at almost the same time. If all the companies that have large number of buses and the colleges had co-ordinated amongst themselves and each one had started their buses after an interval of say, some 15 minutes, after another companies’ buses started, I don’t think the traffic jam on the road would have happened and everyone wouldn’t have had to suffer because of it and the Chennai heat.
What do you people say?
Forgot to add the most important point here: The buses of the company closest to Tidel Park should have started first followed by the others with the buses of the one that is farthest starting last. Couldn’t all this have been arranged in a few phone calls itself?

Lajjo shelved or not?

Updated on 22nd May:
This is what Mani Ratnam has to say about Lajjo here,”Yes, it’s still at the scripting table. Once it falls into place, it will come onto the cards.”

Here is the earlier news:

The curious case of Lajjo
The screenplay was ready but Ratnam was not willing to get it scanned by the usually nitpicking Aamir Khan. Khan wouldn’t go further unless he was shown the screenplay.
He’s a director who won’t brook any interference and he’s an actor who is legendary for his interfering ways in practically every department, be it the script, direction, the works. The Mani Ratnam-Aamir Khan combo sounded lethal when it was announced over a year ago. And now it is learnt that the twain may never meet.

Random Thoughts

  • When you don’t get what you desired, learn to like what you have got. Is it easy?
  • One moment you are enjoying something the most, the very next moment you start finding it boring. Human mind is strange, isn’t it? (Manam oru kurangu? :P )

Stress-buster

Eyes closed. Headphones are on. Pachchai Nirame is the song playing. If this doesn’t help you relax instantly after a stressful day, what else will? :)

Books, Movies, Music, TV

Is what I spent the weekend with! After having had a great weekend, I am not at all complaining about having to work late today also! :)
Movies
I finally managed to watch the 2 movies that I have wanted to watch for a long time now, but somehow kept missing, Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai, and I liked both the movies very much. I watched these two back to back on Saturday. :) Yesterday, I watched Bunty Aur Babli for the third time. Wish Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee act in more movies! The main reasons for which I like or rather I don’t find this movie boring is Abhishek and Rani and the music. Though many say that the movie is sans logic or something like that, I like it. Makes for a good time pass.
