I hate waiting!
Yesterday I had to go for a teammate’s engagement. I had planned with other teammates and told them that I will be there at the same time as them. But as usual, I was the first to reach there and others didn’t turn up till it was almost an hour since I reached there!
Imagine having to sit through the whole function all alone without knowing anybody there! Why is it me who always turns up first everywhere?
It was a small hall and I chose to sit in a corner since I knew nobody there. Since I couldn’t see what was happening on stage, I moved to another chair and sat. At that time, people started distributing flowers to everyone to throw it on the couple and bless them. When people started moving forward to throw the flowers, I went to the last row and sat lest some flowers got thrown on me (!). Within a few minutes, someone came and asked those of us sitting in that row to turn our chairs and sit facing the table that was there behind and have our dinner! Since I had to wait for others to come, I moved to another corner and sat. I felt so stupid moving from one chair to another and keep waiting.
Before I knew it, everybody except the couple and their close relatives maybe, were having dinner and I was asked by many to go and have my dinner. Tired of waiting, I had my dinner and just as I was about to finish it, others turned up finally!
I hate days like these when I have to wait all alone for others.
In times like these, my mobile phone is the one that comes to my rescue – I either SMS friends or call them up or type blog posts while waiting. Without my mobile, it would have been even worse yesterday!

I also end up going first (got from my father’s discipline). Donno how to get rid of it !!! I realise being on time is definitely bad habit in 21st century !!!

Punctuality is no more a virtue .And its fashionable to be late:-P I’ve been embarassed by this whole arriving on time thing before as well
Its really a pain when people do it IST and don’t really mean the time they say !

Many times it happens to me too…. Even my friends tell me that im arvaakollaru so only i reach my classes early….. Only very few people are nowadays punctual like us…. But don’t know whether its a bad habit or a good one?????

As sangs said I have been in really embarrassing situations…. And I too don’t have a cell phone… these days I jus go in 30 mins, so neither late or too early!!
And incase i don’t have company… I jus catch few kids thr and make friends with them!!
Excellent time pass!

looks like there are a lot of us who like to be punctual. But i guess no matter what, its better being punctual rather than late. As we say in german, “Besser eine minute zu früh als eine minute zu spät”. So, its definitely a good habit & its a pity that many have lost this virtue.

Vijay,
Let’s hope others start following it instead of we punctual people trying to get rid of it!
Adiya,
Sangs,
Even if I go later than the said time, others still seem to come later than me!
>And its fashionable to be late:-P
I know! It really irritates me when I am made to wait
Vidhya,
Hmmm. I wonder why all the punctual people end up amidst non-punctual ones
Nandu,
Am happy to know that I have got company
That seems to be a very good time pass indeed
Kaushik,
Agreed. That’s why I am still continuing to be punctual. What’s that German saying??

Sami,
Hope you correct it soon! Anyway I am surprised to see that you admitted that you belong to the non-punctual category. Many I know don’t even admit that
