Last week, while I was showing the sunrise photos to my cousin and was telling her how beautiful it was to see the sun rise and cast its first rays on the sea, I was bitten by the desire to see the sunrise at Marina beach again. Seeing the photos, she too got tempted and she wanted to see it the very next day! We checked the newspaper and saw that the sun would rise at around 5:50 am. Lazy me was dragged out of the bed by her at 5:30 am the next day and we reached the beach at 5:50 am sharp - just in time to see the sunrise! Needless to say, it was beautiful! :)

Apart from those going for walk on the platform, there were only a few people on the sands/near the water. I loved the calm atmosphere in the beach. If only the beach had been cleaner, it would have been even better!

Seeing the sea stretching out to the horizon, watching waves after waves lashing the shore, letting my feet get drenched by the waves - I love the beach! :)

There were a lot of crows on the beach. Mornings must be the only time when the crows, like this one that was walking on the shore, can roam around the beach freely. :P :P

See the sand on the above photos carefully and you will be able to see a greenish tinge left by the waves on the sand. I wonder why the surf had a greenish tinge to it.

With each passing minute, the golden-orange sun seemed to be becoming more and more beautiful. :)

Look at the reflection of the sun on the water!

This is my favourite photo: :)

Couldn’t have enough of rasichifying the sunrise! ;)

There were a lot of small holes and small crabs kept peeing out from those. Every time I tried to take a photo of a crab, it kept sneaking into the hole!

During my childhood days, visit to beach always meant collecting a lot of shells. I later stopped it, not because I lost interest in it but because, the beach was getting dirtier by the day! I remember how I used to pick up something thinking it was a shell, only to realize that it was a plastic cap or some junk item. :| This time, I remembered those wonderful childhood days and all those Sunday visits to the beach with my family and picked up a few shells.
