This is actually supposed to be a reply to Ponnarasi’s comment here. I thought I would let everyone know the answer anyway
My blogrolling someone is no way related to whether or not that blogger visits my blog. Most of the blogs in my ‘Blogs I Read’ page including Ponnarasi’s are the ones I have been reading even before I started blogging. Most of them will not be aware that I read their blog simply because I rarely comment in blogs! Now, don’t ask me why! That’s why I chose to list out the blogs I read when I started blogging. Many bloggers whom I have blogrolled haven’t visited my blog. Even if they have, I am not aware of it
By the way, the list of blogs I read mentioned here is incomplete. There are some that I read on and off. I haven’t mentioned those. Besides, with each day, the number of blogs I read is increasing. Listing out all the blogs is becoming difficult….

Will start posting regularly from tomorrow. I think I have now overcome the blogger’s block.

This week, I have been a bit busy. Though I did update my blog, I didn’t read most of the blogs that I regularly read. Now, when I login to Google Reader, I see that there are 100+ unread posts! I have so much to read now! This makes me ask the question, why do we read blogs?

Let’s take my case. Even before I started blogging, I have been a regular reader of so many blogs for a long time. What started off as just a time pass, became a full-fledged activity. Reading blogs became something like reading newspapers everyday. I never left/leave any post unread even if I visit a blog after say, one week and find that there are some 10 posts unread. So much so that reading blogs has taken precedence to reading books for me! And yes, I enjoy reading blogs more than writing one. Less effort needed for that.
Apart from getting to read on a wide range of topics and knowing different viewpoints, aren’t we actually getting to see a slice of the life of a person in his/her blog? Is that what is interesting about reading blogs? The more you are able to relate to what a person writes, the more a blog appeals to you, the more you enjoy it, isn’t it? Why am I rambling now? Has something happened to me thinking about the time I need to spend on reading so many posts? On a serious note, let’s hear it from you all. Why do you read blogs? What got you hooked to blogs? While you folks answer the questions, let me start reading the posts waiting to be read. Oh yes, please answer the questions.

Since I didn’t want to break the chain of posts on Alaipayuthey, I am posting the Stats for the 2nd quarter of my blog a little late.

Q2 Blog Stats (16th Feb to 15th May):

No. of comments: 526 (including my reply to comments)

Today, the number of posts that I have posted is 101 including this! Blog hits is 23,545!
As I complete 6 and a half months of blogging, I thank each and everyone of you for making this happen! THANK YOU MY DEAR READERS!

The series that I enjoyed the most in the blog world is Prabhu’s He-She series. And, it’s back again! Hurray! Prabhu, hope you don’t stop the series again!

Well, it’s Q4 for the companies but for my blog, 2nd quarter just started 10 days back. So, here I am presenting the Blog Stats at the end of Q1 (16th November, 2006 to 15th February, 2007) of the first year of my blogging. No. of posts I posted: 52 (Even without my realising it, my 50th post was the one on my meeting A.R.Rahman! A special one for my 50th post I should say )
No. of comments: 188 (including my reply to comments)

Considering the fact that it took me nearly a year to convince myself that I too can start blogging, I guess I have a very good reason to be happy today Thanks to you all! A very BIG THANKS once again to all of you!
