I switched on the computer to write about Sanjay’s amazing concert yesterday in which he sang the Nattakurunji varnam and an awesome Nattakurunji RTP among other pieces. As I started typing the list of songs, I started listening to his Nattakurunji varnam on repeat mode. Lost in the magic of Nattakurunji, I stopped the typing and started listening to more of his Nattakurunji – two different recordings of Jagadeesha and Vazhi Maraitthirukkudhe. Listening to Vazhi Maraitthirukkudhe made me want to listen to Ananda natana prakasham. Listening to it on repeat mode, I started browsing through Sanjay’s recordings that I have. After listening to a beautiful RTP in Hamirkalyani, I am now listening to the brilliant Bhageshri RTP. I have not been doing anything other than listening to Sanjay’s recordings non-stop for more than 5 hours now and still yeh dil maange more! π Am at a loss of words to describe the effect that Sanjay’s music has on me. Sanjay is the best! π
I was watching some video of the youngest fan of ARR in youtube (Thanks to Siva for sharing it π ) when I saw this (click on the link to listen) high quality recording of the Spirit of Unity concert theme (All my old readers might remember that I had posted the not-so-good quality recordings of the Spirit of Unity concert theme last year). I have been listening to it for the past 30 min & I still can’t stop listening to it! I was down with headache since the morning today and guess what? It’s has now disappeared. That’s the magic of Rahman’s music! π

Sangeetha swarangaL from the movie ‘Azhagan’- This song sung so beautifully by SPB and Sandhya (came to know her name from Google search only. What other songs has she sung?) is one of my all-time favourites! More than remembering since when I started loving this song as much as I do now, the one thing that I will always remember about this song is watching this song on TV when I was a kid and wondering what on earth will two people have to talk about all night! π Besides, I used to like the Doordarshan music and I used to watch this song just for listening to it!

As I saw cotton candy-like clouds adorning the evening sky, making it a treat for the eyes, I got reminded of one of my favourite songs, megamae megamae from the movie, Vaanam Vasappadum and the entire bus journey (Oh yeah. This is yet another post on what I did while travelling by bus π ) had me humming this song to myself. I remembered that it had been really long since I last watched/listened to the song and here I am now, happily listening to it for the past one hour. π I love all the songs in Vaanam Vasappadum. This is one of the few non-ARR albums that I have bought. I like the picturization of the songs too. I am now going to listen to other songs from this movie. π Meanwhile, you enjoy watching this song here. (Couldn’t find a better quality video)
Hey All! Good Morning!
Having had to read quite a few times about me being bored, I guess it would be a good change for you to read that it has been more than a week since my boredom went away! So how did I beat the boredom? All I did was a little introspection/retrospection/whatever and before I knew it, I was out of boredom! Rather, boredom was out of me. π

Yes! Today was a Monday when I didn’t have the Monday morning blues at all! Thanks to A.R.Rahman & Reetigowlai! π Started the day listening to ‘Sakkarakatti’ songs! Liked all the songs the first time itself! More on the songs later. The other song that I have been listening to the whole of today is the song that seems to everyone’s current favourite – ‘kaNgaL iraNDAl’ from ‘Subramaniapuram’. This is one of the most beautiful Reetigowlais ! π Can’t stop humming the song! π
