Enna kodumai idhu!

I did a mistake by writing here about me being called aunty by a kid. When I saw the Search Engine terms for my blog in the Blog Stats, I saw the term ‘aparna aunty’ and when I did a Google search, my blog was the first result for that. 😐 🙁

Talking about blog stats, the hits for my blog has crossed 50K and it’s now 51,586. 😀 Thank you all!
And here are the all time top 7 search terms for my blog.

  • aparna
  • jodha akbar dvd cover
  • jodha akbar cd
  • jodha akbar cd cover
  • ar rahman
  • a.r.rahman
  • a r rahman

Thank you, Rahman! 🙂

School was fun!

The rickshaws, autos, cycles, cars and bikes causing a jam outside the school as the students and teachers reach, the sounds of ‘Hi’s filling the air as greetings are exchanged with every other person in the class, the showing off of the new pencil box, pen, scale, pencil, school bag, etc. proudly, the hurried copying of the homework from that friend who never fails to come with all the homework completed, the whole class waiting for the teacher to enter as soon as the bell goes off and the few who are so busy in their own world that they don’t even know that the teacher has come.

kaNDa naaL mudhal

Continuing from my weekend post, kanDa naaL mudhal is one of my favourite movies. Though as is the case with most of the movies, I didn’t watch this one too until it was shown on TV (Thank God it was shown within a few months of its release), I liked it so much the very first time that I watched it that I immediately got a DVD and watched it again!

Friends

During the last couple of years, I have made a lot of good friends. Though I made the many friends at work, today, not many are still my colleagues and even among those who are still there, many have become so busy that they don’t even have time for mails. 🙁 Same is the case with many of my other friends as well. 🙁 With so many friends becoming busier by the day, there are days when I feel so bored. 🙁 This is the reason why I enjoyed school and college more. Atleast you knew that you will be with your friends till the end of college or the end of the academic year and none of us were ever this busy….

With a couple of my friends leaving on a long leave last week, I thought I will be bored like anything today. But thankfully, today wasn’t that bad a day after all. There are only a few friends to whom you can pour your heart out and talk about your little triumphs, fears and anything and everything under the sun. I am glad that I did that after quite sometime now with a friend today. And conversations like those always reassure you that you are not alone in this and there are many others feeling the same way. Thank you, my friend. 🙂

And thanks to a wise decision that I took last week, today has been a great day so far. 🙂

Come weekend

and I am watching at least one movie on TV.

Right after I wrote about the song, kadavuL uLLamE, the movie, anbuLLa Rajnikanth was telecast on Kalaignar TV that weekend. Though I wanted to watch that song alone first, I ended up watching the whole movie. I anyway, didn’t remember anything about the movie since it had been more than a decade since I watched it. This is one movie that has so many moments that are sure to bring tears to your eyes. But thank God, I didn’t cry at all. Still that movie did leave me feeling sad. 🙁
Note to self: Don’t watch sad, serious movies.

Me Aunty??

Last week, for the first time in my life, a kid called me Aunty! 😐 I have always hated being called akka itself and tell ‘paeru koopadadhaane irukku. Please call me Aparna’ and I generally make everyone call me by my name only. But now I feel akka itself is better. Being called aunty makes me feel old 😛

Life’s Like That

You try your best to forget some things at least temporarily and try to do something that you enjoy doing, when someone starts reminding you of it all. How I wish it didn’t have to be that way! 🙁

Reading blogs non-stop!

The past couple of weeks, I have been so busy that I didn’t get time to either write blog posts or read blogs even though I did read a few posts once in a while (& saw the number of unread posts increasing with each passing day). When I logged into Google Reader today, I saw that the number of unread posts were 588 and some of those posts were written more than a month ago! Out of this, some 40 would have been comments. Apart from those, I would have marked only some 15 posts as read without really reading those. Guess what the number of unread posts is now? Just 100! Yay! I will hopefully read the remaining those tomorrow and resume blogging soon. Unlike earlier, I am now missing regular blogging. I hope I am able to find good topics to blog about.

Changing Notes Concert Promo

The promo (click on the link to watch) of A.R.Rahman’s Changing Notes Concert is superb! I watched it only yesterday evening and since then, I have been watching it again and again! I had got the passes for the concert on Monday itself but I am yet to decide whether I will go or not.

Btw, for those who haven’t listened to ARR’s song for the Hyderabad airport yet, here’s the link.
