Life’s Like That
You try your best to forget some things at least temporarily and try to do something that you enjoy doing, when someone starts reminding you of it all. How I wish it didn’t have to be that way! ![]()

The past couple of weeks, I have been so busy that I didn’t get time to either write blog posts or read blogs even though I did read a few posts once in a while (& saw the number of unread posts increasing with each passing day). When I logged into Google Reader today, I saw that the number of unread posts were 588 and some of those posts were written more than a month ago! Out of this, some 40 would have been comments. Apart from those, I would have marked only some 15 posts as read without really reading those. Guess what the number of unread posts is now? Just 100! Yay! I will hopefully read the remaining those tomorrow and resume blogging soon. Unlike earlier, I am now missing regular blogging. I hope I am able to find good topics to blog about.

The promo (click on the link to watch) of A.R.Rahman’s Changing Notes Concert is superb! I watched it only yesterday evening and since then, I have been watching it again and again! I had got the passes for the concert on Monday itself but I am yet to decide whether I will go or not.
Btw, for those who haven’t listened to ARR’s song for the Hyderabad airport yet, here’s the link.

At first look, this movie starts off as just another love story set in a village. A guy getting floored by the beauty of a girl – that’s all. Unlike Rishi (Arvind Samy) and Roja’s (Madhubala) in Roja or Karthik (Madhavan) and Shakti’s (Shalini) in Alaipayuthey or Manohar (Karthik) and Divya’s (Revathy) in Mouna Raagam or for that matter, even Gautam (Prabhu) and Anjali’s (Amala) in Agni Nakshatram, which are love stories where their initial courting scenes to the scene where they express their love for each other itself are some unforgettable scenes, with the dialogues making them all the more memorable, this movie doesn’t have any of those. Except for the scene where Shekhar (Arvind Samy) gets into the same boat as Shaila Bhanu’s (Manisha) and tells her of his love, there are practically no dialogues between the two of them. But that’s where the song, ‘Uyire’ comes in - there couldn’t have better words than the lyrics of the song to express their love for each other.

One scene that has always remained etched in my memory ever since I watched it as a kid is a scene from the song, ‘kadavuL uLLamE’ from the movie, ‘anbuLLa Rajnikanth’. I am sure almost all of you would have watched this song many times, since that used to be often shown on the programme, ‘oliyum oLiyum’ on DD.

And here I was, all these days, thinking that I cannot be without the internet, without blogs or checking mails regularly! How wrong I was! Though I didn’t plan on taking a break of any sort, I eventually ended up taking something like a break during the past few weeks. There were only very few blog posts that I read and I didn’t even check my mails for days together. Till now, whenever I have not blogged regularly, there was some specific reason for it. But this is the first time when I didn’t blog for no reason at all. I spent all my free time reading books or doing absolutely nothing worthwhile and I am happy to say that never once did I miss the internet. But what with so many blog posts waiting to be written and read, it’s now time for me to come out of this supposed break….
